23. Holy Cathedral of St. Donatos

Built in the 20th century, Holy Cathedral of St. Donatos (Agios Donatos) dominates the center of Paramythia where portion of the relics of St. Donatus, the patron saint of Thesprotia, is preserved. Holy Cathedral of St. Donatus celebrates on 30 of April and 29 of September. St. Donatos lived during the reign of Emperor Theodosios the Great and was bishop of the city of Evria, one of 12 cities in Epirus, and was built on the site where now stands the village Choika. He was born around 310 and died in 387 AD.
