The Kalodiki Wetland belongs to the Municipality of Margariti and is 35 km away from Igoumenitsa, West of the national road Igoumenitsa-Preveza. It has an area of about 4,000 acres of which part is used for livestock and the rest is covered by water. The wetland has a wide variety of habitat types with remarkable ecological value and represents one of the wetlands of Western Greece. Due to its geographical location the area acquires special ornithological importance as it is a migratory station of birds in Western Greece.
